The more you learn and help out others the more free time I get to get in to
things probably left alone. Next I might give 10 a shot.

Seriously, there is still much knowledge I desire to learn and understand
about the computer.
I have always learned how to do things as needed in my situation.
Just like one drive, which I am learning right now.
I had a brief encounter with computers back in the late 90's.
But the job and the circumstances did not work out.
So finally in 2008 I decided to teach myself the computer.
So with the resources of the F S program and website.
Also through David's jaws list and others on here, I have slowly learned how
to do many things.
I have learned not to give in, or to give up, but to continue to seek and to
find a solution for my current issue.
I like the challenges of the latest technology.
I enjoy the challenge, of figuring out what programs work the best with
Jaws.
So again, there were many online articles, books, websites, webinars, and
other materials which have helped me to learn the computer.
So now, I want to help others to gain a better understanding of how to use
the computer.
how to navigate around the desktop, the internet, programs, and the settings
and how to keep up maintenance on their computer.
Personally, I wished I would have learned these things years ago.
So,after wasting valuable years in ignorance about computers, and a lack of
motivation to learn the computer system with Jaws.
My goal now is to help as many blind people as I can, to be confident and
comfortable with using their computers with jaws.
Another way I learned quite a bit of knowledge, was using Google to search
for information on how to do various task.
Then taking the sited instructions and applying them to our situation as
blind keyboard users of the computer.
For a long time I sat back and just listened to the questions and answers on
this list and learned a lot.
So again, thank you,! David, Al, and others on this list...

Go to device manager.
Arrow down to network adapters, press right arrow to open.
if you have a wireless adapter it will be here.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Telling if a desktop has wireless capability

Hello Gang:

I have a relatively, new Dell desktop connected to the internet via an
Ethernet cable. How do I learn whether the computer has wireless
capabilities or not?

Would that information be in the programs or system tray? What "signal" am I
looking for? Something that would tell me yes or no.

Thanks. Neil

Thanks. Neil
