I wonder if this has to do with whether you've upgraded from Windows 7 or
Windows 8.1. I have two machines in my posession that I have upgraded. One
was from 8.1, and the other was from Windows 7. I'll do a test tonight at
home and let you guys know what happens.

I ran the update from jaws help and got no issues.
have you ran a repair on jaws?
