Access Back from the menus. Go menu and then Back or some such. Also, disable the Adobe PDF Reader add-on that allows PDFs to load in the browser so that they will open in Adobe Reader and this will not be a problem.

The page that loads up is an embedded pdf file. I've tried the navigation areas and haven't had any luck yet in closing out the pdf to get back to the main page. When I choose alt f4, it asks me if I want to close all tabs, or the current one. I choose current, and it closes the main page instead, leaving me with only the pdf page up. I'm still fairly new to a lot of items that the digital college world has to offer, but I'm having fun, right? Right? grin I need to explore the navigation options a little more. -----Original Message----- From: Janie Degenshein Sent: Saturday, September 12, 2015 3:43 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] College Blackboard and Alt Left Arrow Command It depends but I usually can use either alt left arrow or back space For instance, when in the BARD site, the back space works well there HTH -----Original Message----- From: Annette Carr Sent: Saturday, September 12, 2015 3:04 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] College Blackboard and Alt Left Arrow Command In many cases there is a button or link somewhere on the page that will return you to the previous page. I've also seen it set up that you just have to pick from the navigation links on the page to get to somewhere other than the instructions page that you are on. So maybe you need to find the Assignments button, and then navigate from there. Windows 7, JAWS 16, IE12. I am experiencing an issue with the college blackboard platform that is driving me crazy. When I enter to a certain formatted page to read assignment directions, and then try to use the alt left arrow command to go back a page, it does not work, and I am forced to exit blackboard entirely and then go through the process of logging in and making my way back to the class page. I checked to see if there are tabs for previously viewed blackboard pages, but there are none. Is there any additional commands that can be used to try and go back a page? I am using IE and am wondering if Blackboard and JAWS work better together with Firefox. Any help and info will be greatly appreciated.
