when I open this PC (I renamed it back to COMPUTER) the contents desktop
thru OS c is in list order but I must right arrow to view the drives from OS
c such as dvd drive e and flash drive f
how can I get it to be all in list order?

Yes, this is a w-10 bug, try pressing Control+w, before or after ALT+f4.

using windows 10 with latest build of jaws 16
sometimeI cannot close folders, flash drives etc
I’m suspecting this is a windows 10 glitch because I’ve ran a jaws repair
