Hi I'm sorry that the open with option from the applications menu didn't work for you. So here's another way To accomplish this in Windows 8.1.
1. Press control+escape to open the start screen and then type default. 2. Jaws should say default programs. So Press enter. 3. JAWS will say something like no search results and then control panel home. Press tab until JAWS says set your default programs and then press enter. 4. The next screen may take a little time to load. Press tab until JAWS says list view and then press I for internet explorer. 5. Press tab 3 times to get to the set this program as default button and then press enter. 6. Press tab again to Choose defaults for this program and press enter. 7. Tab to the select all button and make sure it is checked. If not checked, press space to check it. 8.
