I did not reply to this specific email sooner because it landed in my ThunderBird spam folder. anyway, I renamed the folder to default old.jkm and the problem was fixed. But when I rename it back to default.jkm the problem returned. So, can I highlight the data in the default old.jkm save it somewhere and thenpaste it back in to the default.jkm folder? Or should I do something different? Not sure if I'm explaining this correctly.

Do you have a default.jkm in your user folder? If this is the case then you
may want to remove it or just rename it for the time being and see if your
problem goes away. If you modified the jfw supplied default.jkm then the
repair should have fixed the issue.

So, I did a repair on the current v16 hoping that would put back the activate
searchbox (ctrl e) keystroke. It did not work. It looks like I will just have
to bite the bullet and uninstall and reinstall jaws unless somebody has another
idea.
