Hi Ron, You can get Vipre as the lifetime subscription for 1, 3, or 5 computers I believe. I had purchased the 3 computer license, which sounds like what you might need, unless you plan on purchasing a new PC soon. Vipre actually works better alone than it does with Malware Bytes, in fact, it has a feature during the installation, which removes any other antivirus/anti malware programs that might vbe installed on your computer. You can add Malware Bytes back after Vipre is finished installing if you want to, but I found that neither of the programs worked well with both of them installed, and suspect that this may have been the reason for some of the problems which people have been having with the accessibility side of using Vipre. So, the answer is yes, you can have it on as meny computers at one time, as long as you do not try to exceed the number of licenses that you have purchased. The audio tutorial that you are speaking of, I believe, was done by a guy named Bob Edenhofer, just a couple of weeks ago. I have not watched it, so I do not know how good it is, or what exactly it covers, but I do believe that it focuses more on the 2016 version, and he may do a few comparisons with the 2015 version during the tutorial. I am sorry, but I do not have the web address for where you need to go to watch this tutorial, but someone on this list should have it. So, I request now that is anybody has the link for where to go to see Gene's tutorial on Firefox, and Bob Edenhofer's one on Vipre 2016, pleas post this to the list again. Thanks now to anyone who can do this for Ron, and Ron, I hope this helps you to make your decision, and if I can be of any further assistance, please reach out for me. I try to check my email 3 to 4 times per day, I will get back to you as soon as I can. If I get Vipre, it will take care of both win 10's built in defender and it will also take care of what Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is supp-ose to do as well? 2. For the one time lifetime fee, how many computer can use that one program? I ask this because I have the desktop in my bedroom. My brother has a laptop, and our folks have their laptop. So can you use it on more than one machine? 3. I remember seeing a while back from this list that there is a audio tutorial of the vipre program. For which version of the program is it for? Is it for learning one's way around ver 15 or ver 16? When one is on SSDI, you have to watch one's budget. Even if you do live at home with your folks. But the bills still have to be paid first before picking up new toys. SMILES. Many Thanks for the advice. I know exactly where you are coming from on the income front. I feel that anyone should take the plunge one time and purchase a lifetime subscription for Vipre rather than the yearly subscription. For about the price of 2 years subscription, you can take advantage of the programs benefits for the life of your computer, and since I did purchase a 3 PC license, I am still using it on my newest computer. I am liking the 2016 version of Vipre, it is more accessible than it has been for the past year, and it is working well for me. The program does take a little getting used to, but once you find your way around to the different things that you need to use, it will become very easy to use. It will be quite awhile before I purchase another computer, but I am considering purchasing another license to Vipre when I do, unless something dramatic changes in the program by that time. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance in helping you set up the program or other issues when you make your decision. I'm currently running Win 10's built in defender and of course to go long side defender Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Even though I need to pay for it and running it in demo mode. My question is this. which is better? Defender and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Or vipre with win 10's defender? If we run vipre, would we need win 10's defender? I'm curious because being on a once a month fixed income, I don't like having to pay Malwarebytes Anti-Malware each year to safe guard my pc. Many Thanks. P.S. I do like the face of a one time fee of roughly $85 for vipre though. I have only seen this one time, just after upgrading to the 2016 version. Since then, I fortunately have not had any other threats quarantined. Under the Manage tab and then the Antivirus tab, it will now state how many threats that you have been protected from. I hope this helps.
