Hi there,
You are not wrong at all. I press alt + F4 on the desktop in
Windows 10 and
all of the choices are there to shut and restart and so on. It
still works
after all of these years. Take care.

With windows seven, I just go to the desk top and press alt F4 to
shut down
windows. I thought that that was what everybody did. Am I wrong
again?

Ever since XP hit the streets the command for shutting down a
Windows system
is as easy as opening the run dialog and entering the following
command:

Shutdown -s -f -t 00

The 00 is for immediate shutdown. If you want it to turn off in
30 seconds
then just enter 30 instead of 00. The rest should be obvious.

Alt + F4 opens the traditional Shutdown Window in Win 10 but
don't tell M$.
They might remove it in the next update.

Exhausted, but happy.
By the way, in Win 7, to shut the computer down:
1. Windows key
2. Tab twice to shutdown split button.
3. Space bar for shutdown.
What are the comparable steps with Win 10?
Just want you to know that I appreciate your work. It has

Hi Neil,
Good job, I knew you could do it.
Press Windows key+X, the first item is programs and features.
Press enter.
Works the same way as it did in w-7.
Highlight the version of Jaws that you want to uninstall, press
enter.
Follow the prompts, keep shared components and shared settings.
Turn narrator on after Jaws is uninstalled with Windows
key+Enter.
Press the windows key, up arrow to power, press enter.
Down arrow to restart, press enter.
After a few minutes, press Windows key+enter, to turn narrator
on.
Sign-in, use narrator to go to your download folder where you
should
have the latest Jaws 16 or 17 already downloaded.
Press enter on the Jaws file, turn narrator off, with, Windows
key+enter.
When Jaws finishes installing,
Redo your shortcut keystroke for Jaws.
Redo the Start up on the log-in screen.
For whatever reason these two settings are not kept, all other
settings for Jaws are kept.
No need to restart after the installation of Jaws is complete.
Good luck...
