I use to have hotkeys, but I got so used to using the run dialog for most
things that hot keys like that became a thing of the past. I think it's
because since I'm terrible with remembering passwords, I'm afraid I might
forget the hot key to launch whatever jaws version I have lol.

I use the hot key 6 for version 16 and 7 for version 17- always just using
the second number since version 11.

I have jaws 16 and 17. So to switch from jfw 17 over to 16, I do jaws key f
4, click the ok button to turn it off, then I do windows key r, type jaws16
and press enter.
No spaces between the word and version number.

How do you go about switching from one jaws version to another one? Just
wondering, in case I need to do that. LeDon.

Hi LeDon,

It might be a good idea to leave a 2nd version of Jaws on your computer.
Many people do this just in case they have a problem, let's say Jaws 17
isn't reading a webpage correctly, you can then unload Jaws 17 & start Jaws
16 to finish what you're doing. Personally I run Jaws 16 as my default
because Jaws 17 doesn't work with Outlook Express well at all.
Take care.
Mike

I updated from jaws sixteen to jaws seventeen.. Now for a question. Do I now
have jaws sixteen and seventeen on my computer at the same time? How do I
find out. And if I do still have jaws sixteen on my computer, how do I
remove it? Thank you.
