I think the problem of why Jaws would not start when I started the computer may have been solved. Seems as though the computer never shut down when I clicked the shutdown button. I am sure you have all heard the message about one program needs to be shut down when you shut down your computer. That program of course is Jaws and it is accompanied by a message on the screen like: One program remains to be shut down, “Jaws” Do you want to shut down any way? Press OK to force shutdown. In my case not being able to see this, my computer was in some kind of standby. Last night a friend clicked that OK button and this morning when I started the computer Jaws came up talking.
