The chip shouldn't effect JAWS in any way as it runs exactly the same code.
It is just personal preference, I have used both chips over the years and if 
you want to drill down to performance in the finest detail if that is your 
thing, all well and good but in my opinion, the difference in performance with 
chips with a similar spec is minimal.
There may be a cost factor, AMD used to be considerably cheaper than Intel but 
I am not sure if this is still the case.
Intel used to offer lifetime warranty on their chips as well.
