You could try increasing number of cores or memory allocated to the VM.

to select a group of messages. I select a group of 10 to be deleted.
Once I press the delete key, it takes jaws about 5 to 10 seconds to
start speaking again. If I want to read a message, it takes jaws even
longer to open the message about 15 to 20 seconds. I press jaws key plus
numpad 3 to read the status line jaws says 0 0. Even then, I have to alt
tab to see the actuall message. I am running jaws 13 in the virtual
windows 7 machine. Can some one please help?
