[JAWS-Users] Has anyone use either of the following two programs with win 10?

Hi to all. 
I have win 10 64 bit. 
I have both winrar and 7-zip and I’m trying to open a dot 7z file. 
I was told by the person who up loaded it that 7-zip could open it. 
But neither winrar nor        7 zip will open it. 
When Iinstalled both programs Isimply clicked on the next button and let the 
computer worry about what to do.
