Hi there! I have never figured out a great way around sites with web controls
that are wrongly classed. What I mean is that, for instance, a box to select
language, country, or state, instead of being a combo box is said to be a
read-only edit box. I've tried hitting space for forms mode, alt down arrow,
but if I then arrow around, it pops out and basically does nothing. Of course,
on a lot of them, English is way down the list, and in a huge list of
countries, US is also. I must be missing something in all my years of using the
web with screen readers, as this type of control is thankfully rare. I think I
found it on an online store where the default is Visa, and I needed MasterCard
once, but in a short list, one can get lucky once in awhile. Is there some
command in JFW I don't know of to deal with this situation, so it would behave
like a combo box? I've tried Firefox and Chrome, and both result in the same
mess. Is there a way to reclass these read-only edit boxes into a combo b
ox when they are on the web?
