For some reason, this option was moved in DC, as follows:

In Adobe Reader, go to the Edit menu (alt-e) and arrow up to
the Accessibility submenu.

Select Set-up Assistant.

On page 5 of 5, the last page, of the Set-up Assistant is a
check box labeled "Display PDF documents in the web
browser." It should be unchecked so that the web page is
processed directly by Adobe Reader.

Does DC have the option to uncheck 'open in browser'? Check
under the preferences and see if this helps.

Subject: [Bulk] [JAWS-Users] Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Hello,

I know this topic has been discussed but don't remember the
work around if any. I'm using the latest version of the PDF
software referenced in my subject line. Works great opening
attachments I receive via email, PDF's on my PC, etc.
However, some web based PDF documents, an example are ones
on my Prudential IRA site, when they get opened all I hear
is an open button that I cannot do anything with. Has anyone
found a way to open this type PDF document?

Best,

Al
