No password box for me, when I boot this lil guy. First thing I see is the start menue and I'm in the edit box to search. The navigation tab in the properties is where I made that change but can't remember if it were for 8.1, 8, or windows 7. Hi, Actually goes to the password edit box first if you have one, Then, the desktop, If, you tab a couple times you should run into the recycle bin. The answer is yes, I have not heard of the other stuff you posted, It's been straight to the desktop from day one. Maybe you mean windows +I for settings?
