Have you rebooted since you noticed this problem? If not, maybe a JAWS repair is needed. I'm still with Win7, but these are the two steps I've taken when the shift key stops setting up the copy function. Why this is a JAWS problem isn't clear to me, but I've found that getting JAWS right has always fixed it.
