Hi kimsan,
I use Google Docs a lot. The reason why everybody is switching to it, is
because everything you write is stored on line so then you can access it
with any device. The documents you create are not stored on that one
computer. Also, you can share your document with others and many people can
be working on that one document at the same time. If you invited someone to
work on that document with you, you could Hear what they were doing in the
document and they could see what you are doing in thedocument. These on line
programs is such a great way to collaberate together in the virtual world.
You could invite someone to work on the document with you across the world.
With both of you on line, you can be working on the same document together.
Now, here are some tips to use it. First of all, you must be using IE11 or
firefox. Google Docs will not work in Google Chrome. IE11 is the best
experience with Google docs. Next, you must have the virtual cursor turned
off. Now, there are key commands that will get you around google Docs. Using
the letter G and another letter makes up most of the key commands. Press
CTRL forward slash to bring up all of the key commands in docs. Some
important ones are Alt + Shiftt + F for the file menu. Because you are in a
browser, you can't press Alt + a letter, because that will activate a menu
in your browser. So, many commands are Alt + Shift + E, for example to open
the edit menu. You are just adding the shift key to the Alt key. The most
important things is to be using IE11 or Firefox, and to have the virtual
cursor turned off when you are creating the document. Have a great one.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] google dox
Why is everyone switching to using google dox! Rhetorically speaking? By
chance without sending me to fs's site to listen to a tutorial, does anyone
have keystrokes to read a document in google dox? My prof just sent me my 5
page paper and I'm unsure if it's ie but when I do down arrow to read, it
just says blank blank blank.
Thanks.
