I'be been dealing wigth Abbyy on and off for a while and find it very
usable, even though it might not be as 'clever' and Omnipage.
As for the dirty download (what ever that means), can't say that has
been my experience.

I downloaded it a while back because it was discuss here and was good as a
backup reader.
One thing, when it downloaded, it was dirty, my system cleaned it up.
