Hi John,

Try the following to stop Jaws from saying, Visited, &, Link. The 1st set
of steps are for stopping Jaws from saying, Visited, & the 2nd set of steps
is to stop Jaws from saying, Link.

1. While in IE, or whatever browser, press, Insert + 6, on the number row to
open the Settings Center.

Note:
If you don't want, Visited, spoken in all applications press, control,
shift, + D, to open default Setting Center for all applications & make your
changes there.

2. Arrow down to, Speech & Sound Schemes & press right arrow to open.

3. Arrow down to, Modify Schemes..., & press the spacebar to open.

4. Tab to, edit selected scheme button, & press the spacebar to open.

5. Control + tab to the Control State tab & tab 1 time into the list of
control types.

6. Use first letter navigation pressing the letter, V, until you have,
Visited Speak Control Type Using NormalVoice, highlighted & tab
1 time into the behavior list.

7. Arrow down so that, Ignore, is checked.

8. Tab to the okay button & press the spacebar. Again, tab to okay & press
the spacebar. Tab 1 time & press the spacebar on the save selected scheme
button. Tab to the okay button & press the spacebar, & tab to okay & press
enter. You're done.

NowYou'll see that there are other options, like, save slected scheme as,
create new scheme, & delete slected scheme but, I didn't include all these
added steps.
There may be a faster way to do this but, this is the way I gotter done.

For Link:
1. While in IE press, Insert + 6, on the number row to open the Settings
Center.

Note:
If you don't want, link, spoken in all applications press, control, shift, +
D, to open default Setting Center for all applications & make your changes
there.

2. Arrow down to, Speech & Sound Schemes & press right arrow to open.

3. Arrow down to, Modify Schemes..., & press the spacebar to open.

4. Tab to, edit selected scheme button, & press the spacebar to open.

5. Control + tab to the control type tab & tab 1 time into the list of
control types.

6. Use first letter navigation pressing the letter, L, until you have, Link
Speak Control Type Using NormalVoice, highlighted & tab 1 time into the
behavior list.

HTH

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Stopping Jaws from saying Visited Links

Hi Everyone.

I play a fantasy baseball game which is web based and each of my
players is a link.

For some reason Jaws always calls them visited links which they aren't.

Is there a way to stop jaws from saying visited Link because its
getting a bit anoying.

If there isn't i'll put up with it but just a little quirk of jaws I
suppose.

Cheers.

>From John.
