Hi John, Try the following to stop Jaws from saying, Visited, &, Link. The 1st set of steps are for stopping Jaws from saying, Visited, & the 2nd set of steps is to stop Jaws from saying, Link.
1. While in IE, or whatever browser, press, Insert + 6, on the number row to open the Settings Center. Note: If you don't want, Visited, spoken in all applications press, control, shift, + D, to open default Setting Center for all applications & make your changes there. 2. Arrow down to, Speech & Sound Schemes & press right arrow to open. 3. Arrow down to, Modify Schemes..., & press the spacebar to open. 4. Tab to, edit selected scheme button, & press the spacebar to open. 5. Control + tab to the Control State tab & tab 1 time into the list of control types. 6. Use first letter navigation pressing the letter, V, until you have, Visited Speak Control Type Using NormalVoice, highlighted & tab 1 time into the behavior list. 7. Arrow down so that, Ignore, is checked. 8. Tab to the okay button & press the spacebar. Again, tab to okay & press the spacebar. Tab 1 time & press the spacebar on the save selected scheme button. Tab to the okay button & press the spacebar, & tab to okay & press enter. You're done. NowYou'll see that there are other options, like, save slected scheme as, create new scheme, & delete slected scheme but, I didn't include all these added steps. I play a fantasy baseball game which is web based and each of my players is a link. For some reason Jaws always calls them visited links which they aren't.
