Hi Al, Okay this is what I did to change the font in only the current open document: 1. First make a copy of the document before you make any changes in case something screws up. This way you will still have your default / original document. 2. Open the document, & select all text with the, Control + A, keystroke. 3. Press, Control, Shift, + F, for the font dialogue, & tab through making your font style & size settings changes. 4. Tab to the, Okay button, & press enter. Do not choose the, Default button. 5. Press, Alt + F4, to close the document, & you will get a dialogue asking if you want to save the changes, spacebar the, Yes, button. You have now changed the font style & size for this particular document only. HTH Take care. Mike Remember folks, it's tax time! If you add, IRS to the word, the, you get "T H E I R S". That spells THEIRS! ----- Original Message ----- From: Al Sorrentino To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 2016 5:03 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Changing fonts in an existing documents
Hi Everyone, I am using Windows 7, Word 2010, and JAWS 13, on a laptop. I have an existing five page document in Word that I would like to change it to a different font style♣. I have placed the cursor at the beginning of the existing document and than I press control, shift and the letter F, to take me to the list of different fonts styles. Once I find the desired font, I press Enter and it takes me to the beginning of my document. However, it does not change the font in my existing document. If I follow the above procedure in a blank Word document, the new font will appear when I type something new. Am I doing something wrong, or fonts can not be changed in existing documents? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
