In Excel when you are on a particular cell one can press F2 and it will edit either the number or any formula in that cell. At the same time there is an Edit Box running horizontally which shows the same information and a sighted person can click into it with their rodent. For me it is easier to edit there, particularly when there may be a long formula in a cell which F2 will wrap around.
