after the file is open in Goldwave,
press alt+e, then arrow down to, and enter on trim silence.
now, you can specify in seconds how much of a gap of silence you want.
since you want to remove any silence, type 0.00 and press enter, or if
0.00 is already offered, just press enter.
now open another file and repeat the above step for the second file:
press control+o, navigate to and enter on the file.
to join (append) the second file to the end of the first file:
press control+a to select the whole file,
press control+c to copy it to the clipboard,
press control+tab to switch to the first file,
press control+e to append (join) the second file which is in the
clipboard to the end of the first file.
press alt+f then A and type a new name for the joined file, tab to, and
enter on the ok button.
