Mario: I just downloaded a file using Firefox 46, and was able to get the download status report via control J. I'm using Jaws 17 here, so it works with this Jaws version.

I use JAWS 16. so if JAWS 17 doesn't announce the status of the download after pressing control+j, then this would be a bug in 17... I think?
