Andy,

Could you explain if these Windows are displaying webpages, word processor
pages (in which case, which one?), screens for a specific application, or what?

Even then, I'm not quite sure what you're experiencing and what you're trying
to accomplish. In case it helps, you can force the PC cursor to the JAWS cursor
by pressing the JAWS key with the PC/+ sign on the numpad. Also, while in the
JAWS cursor, you can expand or reduce its range by pressing the JAWS key+r
repeatedly through a cycle of options. But I suspect you need something else.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] A navigation question

Hello,

I'm sure there's a basic command for this, but I can't seem to find it. How do
I get to the series of headings at the top of many windows, apparently running
from left to right just below the title bar? There are actions I need to
perform on areas below these headings, but neither cursor (or a combination of
them) will display them. (This is actually an ongoing issue for me, in which
the JAWS cursor frequently doesn't access, or display, not sure which, much of
what I think it should, for areas of the window or screen that the PC cursor
won't show.) So maybe the question is more general: how do I use some
combination of cursors and routing to read and act upon these other areas of
the screen or window? I'm supposed to know this stuff as part of my job, and I
know it's not this hard.

Andy
