I believe a recent update in windows 10 messed up my sound card, because in May, whenever this update was downloaded, I had no sound after the update and my daughter helped get sound back. But I still get this message at startup: "smart audio, a Conexan file cannot be found." And I can't play audio through headphones. When headphones are plugged in all sound goes through the computer. I have researched this problem and of course forums recommend disabling drivers and reenabling them, but obviously those of us who need a screenreader can't do this because the computer will go silent again if I were to disable and try reenabling sound in order to fix the sound card. I wish I could find and undo the particular update that changed sound, but it doesn't seem to be showing the dates of the updates in my view update history section. Thankfully when I get home I'll be back to using a windows 7 computer, but in the meantime can someone help me to hopefully fix this sound card error wit h Jaws?
