That doesn't work in Windows 10.  Of course I get stuck in the damn ribbons.

1. Open Windows Explorer with Win key+e.
2. Press alt-v for view menu.
3. right-arrow once, then arrow down to folder options. Press enter.
4. Control-tab once, then tab once.
5. You land in a tree containing eighteen items. The item you want is "Use
checkboxes to select items." It is an off/on control. It's near the bottom,
so I suggest pressing home, then arrowing up two or three times.
