Mike B posted the following last year: You can try the following: In "Settings Center" under the "Web / HTML / PDFs" category, there is a subcategory labeled "Miscellaneous" Under "Miscellaneous" there is a setting labeled "Indicate Element Attribute" Unchecking this setting will stop Jaws from saying "Clickable." It's not recommended since there are times when you will miss out on elements of webpages that may be useful and are clickable.
I'll add that stopping JAWS from saying "clickable" every line probably does more good than any benefit you'd get from notification of elements. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Alana Jovanovski Sent: Sunday, June 26, 2016 8:32 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] Stopping JAWS saying clickable Hello, How do I stop JAWS from saying clickable, particularly in Firefox? I have checked the web settings but cannot find the appropriate setting. Am I missing something? It keeps saying "Clickable," as I am reading a preview on my university's email system. Thanks for your help.
