Kimsan, although I don't have 2016,the following is claimed to work in 2013 and perhaps 2010, and might work in 2016 as well:

One way you can do this is to use JAWS key with F5 to list fields and press enter on the one you want to move to in the form. Press the application key (or shift+f10) and look for Properties in the contextual menu. If you open properties there is a group of a couple radio buttons for choosing between whether the checkbox is checked or unchecked. Just move to the appropriate radio button and then use OK.

Have you tryed to activate the quick navigation keys? (insert+z) Press x and
than spacebar, and see if the checkbox is checked.

Remenber to deactivate the quick navigation keys.
