if there's a link that implies it is for a pdf, you could right click it and choose save target as, if it is allowed by the web author/master.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] opening pdf files on IE webpage

Is there a way to stop a pdf file from opening on the webpage, but rather downloading instead?

I am using Jaws 14 and 17 with IE 11 and the latest version of Adobe.

I have tried entering on the links, using the spacebar, right clicking, using Jaws key and also the context menu, but they all open rather than save the file. There is usually no option to save the file once it is opened as well.

Thank you.

Vicki
