I've posted this same .Network Framework concern on this list, but hardly anyone followed up. MS critical updates automatically installs version 4.6 or higher of that program. If you remove it and substitute 4.0, MS replaces it with 4.6+ the next time critical updates are installed. However, FS tells me JAWS can work only with version 4.0 or below. The reason? Many braille and external synthesizers can't function with higher versions. FS made no attempt to reconcile this impossible situation. Like you, I get stuck at the .Network Framework loading screen, the 80% mark, when I run a repair. I hope you and anyone else encountering this situation will alert FS. It's untenable.
