I hope no one minds my pointing out that two posts on this subject contain 
errors. Best to have correct information out there. Mike B's original post was 
correct and covered the territory. Also, as since noted, these are MS, not 
JAWS, commands. Here's what Mike wrote:

Windows key + up arrow.  Or, Alt + spacebar, then press the letter, X.

maximize the current window you are in, by Alt+Space Bar followed by the X
