Hi All,

Running Windows 7 & Jaws 15, 16, & 17. I learned this about Command Prompt
& thought others would like to know as well. For those that have needed to
type a long string of text into the Command Prompt, well you can copy it to
the clipboard, & paste it in by following the steps below.

Copy whatever command string you want to the clipboard. After typing, CMD,
into the run dialogue & pressing enter to open the command prompt try either
of the following ways to paste the contents of the clipboard into the
command prompt. The steps below are for XP, Vista, Windows 7 & 8.

Step #1:
1. Do a right mouse click simulation keystroke, Numpad star. Using the
applications key / context menu won't work.
2. Arrow down to, Paste, & press enter to paste the contents of the
clipboard into the command prompt.
3. Press enter again to start the command.

Step 2:
1. After copying the command string to the clipboard press, Windows key +
R, to open the Run Dialogue, type, C M D, & press enter to open the command
prompt.
2. Press, Alt + spacebar, to bring up the system menu, arrow down to the
edit menu, & press enter.
3. Arrow up / down to the, Paste, option, & press enter, and the contents of
the clipboard should be pasted in the command prompt.
4. Press enter again to start the pasted command.

Also note that in Windows 10, you can just use Control V to paste into the
command prompt.

Take care.
