I came across the following on ReddIt's FAQ for the /r/blind
community:
Q: How Can I Avoid The CAPTCHA?
A: As it says on our submission screen, you can email
[email protected],
or send a modmail to the reddit administrators, and they can
help you get around the CAPTCHA. If you have access to tools
like
WebVisum
or
CaptchaMonster
they can also solve the Reddit CAPTCHA. Accounts with a gold
subscription, or high enough Karma, are also exempt from the
CAPTCHA.
Wish I knew someone who was using CaptchaMonster. You need
an invite code to register.

You should email ReddIt's support and request that they
disable that for your account. Just explain you are a screen
reader user and cannot participate on the site do to the
capture image being inaccessible. They will fix this for
you.
