Hello you need to call the Microsoft disability answer desk because they now have an answer for stoubren computers I have a Toshiba lap top and this thing gave Microsoft a fit but on the 20th yes I said 20th time we were finally able to update it to windows 10 it took Microsoft a month to figure out what the problem was at first it would not give an error code and when it finally did Microsoft said they had never seen that one before so they had to make a copy of everything on the computer so that they could reproduce the problem and they finally contacted me and said they had a fix and they
wanted to try it out and sure enough it worked so give them a call.

Len,
Have you tried or MSA told you that?
Some PC's require at least 3 or 4 tries, because they're stubborn.

I can not, this machine has something set in the bios that won't allow it.

I have an interesting problem with an unknown device. I am not sure if I
have a flaky mother board or something in windows. It is an unknown usb
device and there is no driver for it.
I must have removed it at least 5 times. After a few days it pops up again.
With sighted help I tried to repair windows but this is only for a system
that will not start.
There are two other options install or upgrade. I am not sure but I think
that the install will will remove all of my files and programs. Since it is
the same version of windows 7 home premium would the upgrade work? I also
thought about removing all usb drivers and devices and having windows search
for new hardware. This is an old 32 bit machine and I do not want to take it
to a computer shop. I think I would be then throwing good money after bad.
thanks for any suggestions.
