I normally pop a copy of the portable image for windows on the hard drive for example on a data partition and search for it in windows explorer.

If it comes up in demo mode that means that INI file is not coded as read only. Simply place your name and the license code in the proper fields BTW clipboard is available in the virtual environment so don't worry about that fact at all. Then proceed as normal creating your image or restoring it whatever you are about at that point.

I hope this is clear enough, if not again let me know.

I do love restoring images from an external drive or data partition without sited help for several reasons. Once you catch on you will enjoy that level of freedom as well.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem attempting to create a Portable copyof Image for Windows

Hi David

Thank you for the response. Although it took more than just a few tries to
install Image for Windows Portable, my last attempt succeeded. I did
discover that when you enter your name during the installation, it must be
exactly the same as It's listed on the document that gave the product codes.
For some reason, my name for the product has a (2) tacked onto my name. So
I copied the folder that was created to my flash drive that contains Brian
Smart's PE environment. I then used that flash disk to boot a machine that
won't boot normally. But I have a couple of questions. After I booted the
machine using the flash disk, I don't see that flash drive in This PC so
can't find the folder to run IFW. I had to copy that folder to a 2nd flash
drive to find it. Also do you have to authorize the portable version of IFW
to get it out of 30 day trial mode?

Thanks again for your response

Honestly I had the same problem but after a few tries it finally worked just
fine.

If you continue to have problems let me know and I will look further in to
the issue.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Problem attempting to create a Portable copy of Image
for Windows

Hi

On a Windows 10 system where Image for Windows is currently installed, I am
attempting to create a portable version of Image for windows on a flash
drive using JAWS 18 beta 18.0.1834. I am using the instructions given on
the JAWS-Users site for the Tips & Tricks item creating a portable copy of
Image for Windows and the Image for Windows 4 item in the audio tutorial
section. I choose Any Win Builder Project's Apps Folder and receive the
message Warning Unable to find target PE Builder plugin folder. Please
ensure you have selected the correct PE Builder location. So how do I find
or obtain the PE Builder plugin folder?

Thanks for your help.
