As suggested you can manually transfer the data to a second hard drive.
The otpion I elected to use was Laplink, which not only transferred data,
but it also transfers some -- but not all -- programs from the old PC to the
new one. It also puts your data in the appropriate identities, so for
example, you can move your email identities and preserve your account
settings.
I think it cost $39 and comes with a special USB transfer cable.

Yes, use the external hard drive.
Locate you'reyour files and copy them to to the external drive.
Very difficult to answer specifically as it depends on where you have
stored your files and what programmes you use.

Hi all! How are you all! So I'm going to buy a new laptop computer this
weekend since my windows computer does not work at all! I have some
issues with it. So my question is, how do I transfer all my information
that I have on my old computer to my new computer? I have JAWS 17,
dropbox and other information. I do have an external hard drive, do I use
that to transfer all my information? If so, what are the steps in doing so
since i never did it by myself? Or do I need sighted assistance for it?
