Hi Everyone!

Ignore my previous question, I found it, and in doing so, may have found a way for Adam to get his full authorization code, at least it worked for me. This will only work on an already activated copy of JAWS.

Steps:

1. Press the JAWS key + the J key, for me it is Insert+J

2. Go to the help sub menu.

3. Go to the Update authorization option

4. You'll get a dialog with several buttons, click the Start Authorization button.

5. In this dialog, choose manual activation, then click next.

6. In this next dialog there is a read only field with your locking code, and two input fields, one has your entire authorization code, the other is for your license code or serial number.

7. Copy the authorization code, then cancel out of the dialog.

hth

Cheers!

Where do you go to see this authorization number, I thought it was in
the about dialog, but all that's there is my serial number and the
unlocking code. Both of which are shown in their entirety.

Cheers!

Howdy SeƱor Ferrin,

That's why I said , * it might work for you*. But, it seems to me
that I've
used a program in the past that unhides text in other situations & I
can't
think of it's name.
Take care.

Mike, that program reveals passwords in your browser or email client. I
don't believe it would work in this situation. Good guess though, an A
for
effort.

Hi Adam,

1st a suggestion. You should put your signature below your message, so
people will read your post & not think you forgot to include a question
because they're seeing your signature 1st.

Look on this website for a program called Asterisk Logger, it's a
password
revealing program, it might work for you.
