I cannot speak for the towers, but I have a Dell Laptop with full keyboard functionality, and have had no problems with JAWS on it. Most of my issues have been trying to remember all of the function keys for each of the aps. Wish you well on your search.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Dell OptiPlex 790/990 feedback

Hello list,

So I need to get another tower for work. Doesn’t need to be anything fancy
so was figuring on going the refurbished rout. I’m looking at some
refurbished Dell OptiPlex 790 and 990 options. Quad Core I5 and I7
processors for anywhere between $250 and$300. I’d go cheaper, but don’t want
any issues with Jaws sluggishness on less powerful processors. Looks like I
can still get Win 7 or Win 10 witch I’m leaning towards.

I bought an HP last year with 8 GB of ram and 2TB of storage, but it’s been
a frustrating machine. Jaws is slow to respond. Don’t know if it has
anything to do with the processer (AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5) but
having tried everything to optimize it, uninstalling programs, disabling
settings, etc. It’s what it is I suppose.

Anyway, I’ve always had good luck with Dell and indeed, I find Jaws and my
keyboard snappier on my going on five year old dell vostro 3750 laptop than
this HP from last year.

Anyone had experience with either one of these Dells and can they comment on
their performance with Jaws? Again, this is mostly for work. Emails,
documents, spreadsheets, Skype telephonic calls. That sort of boring thing.
