My grandson just received his 2tb usb drive. I want to help him make it into 3 virtual drives a 1tb and 2 more equal parts or close to it. I thought that windows 10 could accomplish this task but I was incorrect. It states that usb drives must use 3rd party software. I scanned through the programs list and did not see any free programs. He only wants to partition the drive one time. He asked if just making 3 main folders would work. I think it would but the 3 drives would be best. The 1tb for all of the downloads of the large steam games that he uses. and each of the other partitions to backup his new desktop and the 3rd to backup his college laptop.
