How about pressing the Escape Key after ctrl+f? Then I'm on the first
instance of what I want to find from where I started the search.

This is a little confusing because you say you first presenter and the word
is found, but then you say you press enter and you're taken to the beginning
of the document. I'm guessing your experience is like mine in Word 2010,
which is that the first time you press enter, you're taken to the head of
the document. After that, repeated presses of the spacebar (or perhaps also
the enter key) take you from instance to instance of the search string.
I think you'll find that for most purposes in Word, using the JAWS find key
combination JAWS key+control+f works more reliably. Assuming you've typed
the search string correctly, it won't take you to the beginning of the
document. It will take you to the place you want.
There are advantages and disadvantages to each method, but when I want to
find a single instance of a search string, the JAWS find command is the more
reliable.

Morning All.
I have a curious MS Word inconvenience going on. When I am in a Word
document, and I go to find a word in my document using the Control F
functions, I get a strange action. I will type in the word in question,
press enter, and my word search will find my word. But when I press enter, I
find myself at the beginning of my starting point of the search. So, after
performing the operation again, it takes me to what I need to find. Any
ideas as to why this annoyance is happening? I am using JAWS 17, Windows 10,
and Office 13. Thanks.
