Any basic USB sound card would work fine for your needs. CMedia makes a
model for under $15 last I noticed.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] sound card went south
In my win 7 32 bit machine I had two sound cards installed. The one
dedicated to jaws went south. Every now and then there would be a static
noise popping in and out. I was hoping that it was the speakers so replaced
them. Now there is no sound at all. I would like to replace the sound card
with the same if I could locate one. It is the
Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM))
I can only find drivers for it. Is there an inexpensive sound card that will
work in this old machine or would a usb sound card be the best choice? If
usb what would be the recommended unit? It will only ever be used for jaws.
