Hello Lenny, You might want to check and make sure preview handlers are turned off in your view options. This has been a problem for some people using Windows 7.
Take care. Word is closed at this time. It is in the my documents list. Jaws only says my documents message. -----Original Message----- From: Dave Sent: Friday, January 27, 2017 1:27 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] my documents problem Lenny, Sounds like your default directory for the document files has changed? you are expecting to see the list of documents when you are inside MS-Word, correct? Check your options to see just where your default file location is hiding. That should work, I just do not understand why the list is not available after saving. -----Original Message----- From: Adrian Spratt Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2017 10:58 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] my documents problem Lenny, As a start, try entering the filename in the Windows search field. I don't know which version of Windows you're using, but this should work from Win7 on up. (My system is Win7.) -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lenny McHugh Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2017 10:49 PM To: JFW List Subject: [JAWS-Users] my documents problem I do not do much with word and my documents. Only when writing a letter or something for my web page. There were 2 documents that I wanted to work on. After selecting owner, my documents and my file I made the changes. Saved the file and tried to open the next document. I do not get the list of documents. I must go back to desk top, owner, my documents and find the document. After saving again there is no longer a list available. I tried this several times even restarting the computer with the same results. I have no idea when this behaviour started. I seldom work on two documents back to back. --- Please visit my web page It's motivational, inspirational with a touch of humor There is also a very extensive resource list for the blind http://www.LennyMcHugh.com International Brotherhood of Magicians member #43990 For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
