Hi Mohit,

Go into the search field in the start menu and type file explorer options.

Press enter on the option that pops up, or you can take the round about route and go to the control panel and find file explorer options and press enter.

Once the page pops up, press control+tab to go to the advanced options tab, and tab to the list view.

Arrow down the list to find the option to show file extensions.

Press the spacebar to change the option, and tab to the ok button and you're done.

Good luck.

Scorpio

Subject: [JAWS-Users] How to make jaws 18 announce file extention in windowsexplorer?

I am using jaws 18 in my Dell laptop running windows 8.1.
Erlier in windows 7 I used to listen file extention along with its
name, like, Tom.mp3, Kait.pdf etc. But I am not able to find this
option in windows 8.1. So guide me accordingly.
