This is an interesting debate, I might do some private research myself. I

actually security ecencials is what windows defender is with a bit of
modifications, and it's included with windows 8 and up.

I gave up on it a few years ago. Have had perfect first with Micrsoft
Security Essentials and now with Windows Defender- both free.
