This is not so. The difference is that with OK, your changes take and you
exit, while with Apply, your changes take and you are left to make further
changes if you want. I've seen this particular piece of misinformation
repeated so many times that I just wish it could stop being posted. You can
easily prove that what I say is correct by making one change, pressing OK,
then opening the same setting again and looking at the item you changed.
