No, it doesn't. Scripts don't physically bind themselves in any way to the program, so you can install either the program or the scripts first.
Here's something very important: be absolutely sure to install any scripts not supplied as part of the JAWS installation program or CD into your _user_ files folder and not into the shared files folder. If you place them into the shared files folder, future automatic downloads very well may not work. The user files folder is located at: C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user_name>\Application Data\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\7.10\Settings\ENU where <your_user_name> is replaced by the user name you use on the computer. In XP Pro, at least, you will find folders named as follows when you open C:\Documents and Settings: Administrator All Users Default User Local Service Net Work Service None of these is the user name folder. It may be named something like Fred or John Jones or whatever user name or user names were set up when you opened Windows for the very first time; or that you may have created subsequently. Or you can go to Start Menu>Programs>JAWS 7.10>Explore JAWS> Explore My Settings to open the correct folder. Note: This same information applies to JAWS 7.0. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Ferrin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, August 13, 2006 8:27 PM Subject: Re: [jaws-users] Scripts & programs I really don't think it matters either way at all which you do first.
