Hello,

Well I'm using it it says it's in the control panel and in the start menu's 
I'm using word and excel everyday so I would think so, right?

If this is a new computer, do you have Microsoft Word installed yet? Since
this is something that's set in the Windows registry, there's no easy way to
get it to show that I know of once Word is installed.

I don't have it set to log in all that crap is turned off.
I just turn my computer on and I'm instantly online.
I did go into options many times setting this new computer up and I'm very
sure I did select the wrong option and I pressed enter on notepad and there
you go..
I still have Office 2000 SR Professional installed on this computer use it
everyday that has not changed..
My computer is set up with all that adminstrator log in as off as I already
stated and my default name on the computer is not listed!

Of course if this is something else your referring to then I'll have to try
your steps here..
