Hmmmmmm...that's definitely not a Windows update dialog. While that dialog 
is open, press INSERT+Q to get the name of the configuration that's running 
(probably Default) and, more important, the name of the executable program. 
For example, when I do that as I'm composing this message, I hear "Outlook 
Express settings MSOE.dll." The important item is the second--the name of 
whatever program or .dll file is presenting the dialog. If you press 
INSERT+Q twice quickly, the information is presented in the virtual buffer. 
Do that, press CTRL+A to capture all the information to the clipboard, then 
put it into a note and send that to the list or directly to me. Maybe I can 
help you figure out what's presenting that dialog and help you to get rid of 
it.

well from what I can learn it doesn't give a version number. I thought I had
already installed it once before but it keeps coming back so guess not.
It just has those 3 boxs to choose to install..sonic, win-video or shield
manager
and an ok or cancel buttons
