Thank you.
I sort of knew that.
There's so much to try to remember with this lovable monster, called the
computer, that we can't live without.

Hi Maria,

There are two ways of getting to the task bar and start menu properties.

The first is to go through your control panel, and hitting the letter "T"
until Jaws reads Task Bar and Start menu", at which point you'll come to a
dialog box that deals with the start menu and task bar. Once there, you can
do a control-tab until you get to the start menu tab, and it will tell you
whether you are using the classic start menu or the XP start menu.

Another way is to make sure you have no windows or programs open, then
tabbing over to your task bar, and hitting your applications key, and
arrowing up to properties, and that will take you to the same dialog box,
after which, all you need do is repeat the steps above to get to the start
menu tab and you're done.

Of course, there's an easier way of finding out whether you're using the
classic start menu or the XP start menu.

Just press the Windows key, and hit the letter "A". If Jaws says nothing
except "A", then you'll know that you are using the classic start menu.
When you hit "A" in the XP start menu, Jaws reads out, "All Programs".

In any case, sorry to make you have to read through all the babble of the
task bar and start menu options dialog box. I guess I just like to hear
myself, or in this case, Jaws, talk.

Victor
